Boyd Celebrates Drivers During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

Food, fun, fellowship – and amazing prizes -- were in high gear at Boyd Brothers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW) Sept. 12-16. While we always want our drivers to know how valuable they are to us, we made sure to show the love during NTDAW.

First, let’s talk great food and plenty of it! Each day, one of our vendor partners provided food which included chicken, barbeque, tacos, and more plus all the fixings. Thank you to these vendors for the delicious meals: Monday – Truckworx; Tuesday – Southern Tire Mart; Wednesday – Utility Trailers; Thursday – Love’s Truck Stop; Friday – Southland International.

Next, we have to mention the FANTASTIC prizes that were raffled off during the week and the winners. One of the hottest prizes was four University of Alabama football tickets. We also had 65-inch TCL 4K television, three huge chest coolers, a Faberware air fryer, a Dewalt 20-volt cordless drill, a Keurig brewer, a vacuum cleaner plus two Visa gift cards and two loaded swag baskets.

For our Facebook photo contest, we asked drivers to submit a photo of themselves with their truck and got some great submissions. Thank you to everyone who participated.

During the week, Boyd had a prize wheel with items such as Yeti coolers, safety glasses, Boyd hats and shirts as well as Boyd Bucks to be used in the company store.

We hope our NTDAW celebration showed our deep gratitude to our wonderful driving force. Regardless of the challenging economic environment, truckers across the country keep us all moving. Without them, we would not be able to give our customers the superior service they deserve.
